President Candidates –

Sarah Weitzman

My name is Sarah Weitzman and I am running for the role of IGSA President.  My family has been part of the IGSA family now for 5 years.  My daughter Sydney is finishing up her 2nd year of 10u, my husband has been a member of the IGSA board for 2 years, and you can often see my son running around Bill Barber with his friends while they watch their sisters play softball.  During our time in IGSA I have been a head coach in age divisions 6u – 10u and a member of the board for 4 years in different roles including Director of Marketing, Director of Clinics, Secretary, and for the last two years Player Agent.

I grew up in Irvine playing softball and have enjoyed the opportunity to not only share my love of softball with my daughter, but also give back to a sport that did so much for me growing up.  The experience I have gained over the last 5 years with IGSA and in my professional life as a project manager qualifies me to take on this important role for the league.  During my time on the board my goal has been  to ensure  that the players and parents have an outstanding experience with IGSA and I would continue to work tirelessly to ensure this continues.

IGSA Secretary

Ben Medvitz

My family and I have been a part of IGSA for the past six years, and we have three daughters in the league this spring, one in 12U, one in 10U and one in 8U.  I have coached and assisted on teams in 6U through 12U, in spring, fall and All Star seasons.  I would like to serve you as your Board Secretary.  I have been on the IGSA Board of Directors for almost 2 years, serving as Director of Volunteers and Director of Clinics.  I have also served in various executive board positions including secretary for several non-profits in Orange County and I look forward to the opportunity to use my experience both with IGSA and with board leadership to help improve our league for all of our players and families.  My daughters have gained so much from playing softball, and I want to help provide opportunities for all of our players to develop their skills, learn, and have fun.<
